Zahida Ebrahim is a director in the dispute resolution department at Africa’s largest law firm, ENSafrica. She leads a focused immigration practice, which offers an extensive range of immigration and civic services to multi-national companies and individual clients alike. Zahida has acted for large corporates and top-tier South African and international companies in their interest vis a vis the Department of Home Affairs and various foreign consular offices.

ENSafrica’s immigration business area advises on all aspects of immigration law, including:

  • advising on all categories of temporary and permanent residence visa applications
  • drafting supporting documentation in respect of all categories of visas
  • applications to the Director General of the Department of Home Affairs for waiver of regulatory requirements
  • applications to the Department of Trade and Industry for certification of the feasibility of businesses and for waiver of capital investment amounts
  • applications to the Department of Labour for certification in respect of general work visas and corporate visas
  • applications for naturalisation, determination of citizenship status and for resumption of citizenship
  • liaison with the Department of Home Affairs and foreign missions
  • advising on immigration regulation compliance
  • conducting due diligence investigations and compliance audits
  • arranging sworn translations and apostilles of foreign documentation
  • advising on processes for police clearance applications


Qualifications

  • LLB (University of the Western Cape)
  • Admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa
