Raymond Lahoud, an Easton, Pennsylvania native, graduated summa cum laude from Lehigh University (fourth in his class), with a Bachelor’s Degree in English (highest department honors), earning several accolades and scholarships.  During his time at Lehigh, Lahoud studied at the London School of Economics (International Law & Trade) and the Umbra Institute (Italian Language & Literature).

Raymond Lahoud served as the Editor of The Lehigh Review, earned Deans List each semester, was named a President’s Scholar, was inducted into Phi Beta Delta and received, among other awards, the Williams Award, Cohen Scholarship, Treen Scholarship and Littner Scholarship.

Prior to attending Lehigh University, Raymond Lahoud served as a United States Congressional Page, under then-Congressman Ray LaHood (R-IL), who is now President Obama’s Secretary of Transportation.  He also served as a legislative aide to State Senator Lisa Boscola (D-PA) and was the founder and director of Youth for America PAC, a nationwide Political Action Committee that raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for various political candidates and registered thousands to vote across America.  Following his time with both Boscola and LaHood, Lahoud traveled to twenty-six different congressional districts in thirteen states, to assist several vulnerable incumbents manage last minute grassroots efforts.

When returning to the Lehigh Valley (Easton, Bethlehem & Allentown), Lahoud directed Victory Consulting Group, a Pennsylvania-based political consulting firm that employed as many as fifteen individuals at one time.  Further, Raymond Lahoud assisted in the development of Macquarie (PA), a private equity firm.  Lahoud also actively lobbied for several global corporations looking to conduct business with the United States Government.

After Lehigh, Lahoud attended Georgetown University Law Center, where he excelled academically.  Raymond Lahoud earned a position on the Georgetown Immigration Law Review-a leading international academic resource focusing solely on immigration issues. While in law school, Raymond Lahoud worked for the Honorable Joanne Seybert, Federal District Court Judge for the Eastern District of New York as well as for Sullivan & Cromwell (summer associate), a prominent law firm.

Lahoud graduated, earning Deans List and several CALI awards in many different legal courses.  Lahoud was actively involved in several programs and other organizations such as the Barristers’ Counsel, ABA Law Student Division, ACLU at GULC, Catholic Student Association and the Innocence Project.

When joining Baurkot & Baurkot, Raymond Lahoud brought with him a long history of political, legal and business management expertise. Raymond Lahoud’s primary focus is in immigration law and deportation defense for individuals and corporations in New York, New Jersey & Pennsylvania (Easton, Bethlehem, Allentown & the surrounding region).  His immigration work includes:  Citizenship,  U.S. Non-Immigration Visas, E Visas, E-3 Visas, H-1B Visas, H-2B Visas, L Visas, O Visas, P Visas, Q Visas, R Visas, TN Visas, U.S. Immigration Visas, EB5 Investor Visas, Exceptional Ability Immigrant Visas, Extraordinary Ability Immigrant Visas, K-1 Visas, K-3 Visas, Multinational Manager/Executive Immigrant Visas, Outstanding Professor/Researcher Immigrant Visas, PERM Labor Certification, Family Petitions, Adjustment of Status, Marriage Petitions, Asylum and VAWA applications.

Lahoud also works in the field of Immigration Waivers, such as the Visa Waiver Program, National Interest Waivers, Hardship Waivers and J Waivers.  Raymond Lahoud’s practice focuses greatly on Deportation Defense, at the Immigration Court, Board of Immigration Appeals and Circuit Court levels.  Lahoud has defended individuals against deportation across the United States.  Often, his Deportation practice takes him into state and federal appellate courts, where he seeks post-conviction relief for the underlying crime that led to the commencement of the deportation.  On the other hand, Raymond Lahoud has represented individuals who overstayed their visas or entered the United States without inspection.

He is a member of, among other organizations, the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the American Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, the New York County Lawyers Association, the New York City Bar Association and the National Immigration Project of the National Lawyers Guild.
