Federico Formento is currently a partner at Fischer & Schickendantz (www.fs.com.uy). Both an Attorney and a Notary Public, he managed the firm’s Corporate Immigration Unit, and currently co-manages the Commercial and Corporate Law Unit, advising both multinationals and individual investors mainly in commercial and industrial projects, real estate developments, acquisition of local companies and privatizations.
Federico mainly specializes in Project Finance, M&As, Banking, Securities Regulations, Contract, Construction and Real Estate Law.
His experience includes the participation in asset recovery and financing transactions; he has headed the negotiation, structuring and related corporate topics (including contracts, M&A, project finance and biddings).
Moreover, he has cooperated with major publications such as “Doing Business” (World Bank), “Consultor” (a Uruguayan business law magazine), among other ones, and attended several conferences related to Business Law and Immigration and Real Estate affairs.
Federico has lived abroad in Brazil, United States and Israel. His overseas work experience spans deals in the United States and most of South America. Federico is fluent in Spanish, English, Portuguese and French.
