Prabhat Shroff has over 35 years of experience, mainly in India, regarding the rule of law, as a practicing lawyer, both in the courts at Calcutta, as well as in courts, all over India, including the Supreme Court of India, covering a wide spectrum of matters relating to the rights of the Indian Citizens, guaranteed under the Indian Constitution, and enforcing same in the Law Courts, as well as matters pertaining to the Human Rights, Arbitration (Domestic & International), Dispute Resolution,  Agency & Franchise, Mergers & Amalgamations, Joint Ventures, Foreign Collaborations & Technology Transfers, Public & Private Sector Contracts, General Litigations & Litigations pertaining to Civil, Criminal & Commercial matters, Real & Personal Property Laws, Real Estate Laws, Laws relating to Intellectual Property Rights, and other matters.

Prabhat Shroff has also been proficiently dealing with complex Real Estate documentation involving various Real Estate Developers, both in Kolkata as well as in Delhi and Mumbai; and registration thereof in various Registry Offices.

Prabhat Shroff has also been actively in the Consumer Rights movement in India, and the formulation and coding of legislation relating to Consumer Protection and the Consumer Rights, including Human Rights.

During his long professional career, as a practicing lawyer, Prabhat Shroff has also been involved in complex criminal litigations, both on behalf of the complainant as well that of the accused, pertaining to provisions of the Indian Criminal Procedure Code, Indian Corporate Laws, Indian Matrimonial Laws particularly relating to the rights of the wives and children, and various other Indian statutes, and has gained valuable practical experience in prosecuting and/or defending parties.

Prabhat Shroff has also been involved, as a member of the various teams formed under the aegis of the Law Society of Calcutta, in legal and judicial reform, democracy, governance, civil society, access to justice, human rights issues specially pertaining to women and children, anti-corruption initiatives, non-state justice systems, gender, refugees, post-conflict situations, monitoring and evaluation and organizational effectiveness. He has also involved in automation and computerization of the records, practice and procedures in the courts in West Bengal.

As a member of the Team led by the Late S. M. Singhvi, eminent senior lawyer and subsequently, the Indian High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Prabhat Shroff has also been involved in drafting and finalizing various Trade Treaties between India and Nepal; as well as preparing the provisional draft of the constitution of the Kingdom of Bhutan.
