JASON O. SIAS is the founding attorney of a Federal and State general practicing law firm that specializes in civil rights and criminal defense cases (his area of emphasis) that began in January 2014. Jason has embraced the Jesuit education having graduated from Loyola High School, Los Angeles, Loyola Marymount University, where he received his undergraduate degree, and Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, where he earned his Juris Doctor (J.D.). Since his J.D., he has been admitted to the California State Bar and Louisiana State Bar. Prior to Sias | Carr, LLP, Jason was a solo practitioner at the Law Office of Jason O. Sias, and clerked for the Center for Juvenile Law & Policy, Bet Tzedek – The House of Justice, Cinedigm Digital Cinema Corporation, the Law Office of Ronald J. Higgins and the Law Office of Carlos A. Lloreda, Jr.

Aside from practicing law, Jason is a board member on a community-based nonprofit organization, Big Homie, which is designed to provide positive mentorship for youth within Los Angeles; he has been the lead teacher and coordinator for the Young Lawyer’s Program at Loyola Law School where he taught trial skills to high school students; and he has volunteers with the National Action Network and other community organizations, where he serves on numerous legal panels.

Over the years, in recognition of his active community involvement and leadership, Jason has received the Judge Stephen O’Neil Trial Advocacy Mentoring Program Award (2011), the Wiley W. Manuel Award for Pro Bono Legal Services (2010), James Baldwin Cross-Cultural Leadership Award (2005), and Marcus Garvey Emerging Leader Award (2002).
